Inspired by classic British boots and reimagined through the ButterScotch lens, the Clubman combines minimalist design with rugged durability. Made from premium full-grain leather, hand-lasted, and Goodyear welted for lasting comfort and longevity, it’s built to move seamlessly from the daily grind to the weekend ride, aging beautifully with every mile. A true reflection of commitment to craft, the Clubman stands for honest materials, thoughtful design, and a dedication to making things the right way.

I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the Chelsea boot; a perfect balance of simplicity, durability, and timeless style. It’s effortlessly versatile, equally at home in the office, on a city stroll, a motorcycle ride, or a night out. When crafted from quality materials, its character only deepens with age, making it not just a boot you wear, but one that tells your story over time.

Prototyping
After years of wearing and selling some of the best-made Chelsea's, I knew it was time to create my own. The result is a design built for everyday wear, combining timeless style with premium materials and expert craftsmanship. I began developing the first prototype in 2017 and put it through years of real use. After plenty of miles and refinement, the design proved itself, ready to go into full production.

Introducing the Clubman Chelsea Boot, our first style and a cornerstone in the ButterScotch Boots collection that captures the spirit of timeless craftsmanship and everyday versatility. Handcrafted in Los Angeles, California, the Clubman draws inspiration from classic British riding boots while embodying the modern sensibility that defines ButterScotch. Its clean silhouette, premium full-grain leather, and Goodyear welt construction create a boot that feels as good as it looks, built to last, built to age beautifully, and built with intention.
The Clubman Chelsea reflects everything ButterScotch stands for: honest materials, thoughtful design, and an unwavering respect for the craft. It’s a piece that carries both heritage and purpose, and I couldn’t be more proud to share it with you.

ButterScotch Boots are made in Los Angeles, Calif. by generational bootmakers, honoring the long lasting traditions, standards, and skills of boot-making.
Artisanal craftsmanship begins with premium materials. Each pair starts with a quality hide sourced from renowned tanneries like Horween, chosen for its strength, longevity, and ability to break in beautifully while remaining comfortable and easy to wear.
We developed our own 42 last to create the ideal balance between dress and workwear influences. A slightly taller toe box provides comfort and space, while the medium almond shape adds a refined, versatile look. The result is a silhouette that feels timeless, well-balanced, and distinctly ButterScotch.
Goodyear welted is key to the entire production process for ButterScotch Boots. I wanted to build a product I can truly stand behind and offer you, the customer the confidence that your LA-made boots can be brought back to us when its time for a re-sole. Our re-crafting services will be available to all the Boots in the ButterScotch Boot brand lineup.
The Clubman features a kip, full leather lining that enhances both comfort and quality. It’s a premium touch that makes the boot feel as refined on the inside as it looks on the outside.
Finished off with a 700 V-Bar half sole, and paired with the 705 heel stack, the Clubman delivers reliable grip and all-day comfort thanks to the durable Tygum compound. Trusted as an industry standard, this combination provides proven traction, support, and longevity for everyday wear.
Keeping it close to home, we partnered with a family-owned box manufacturer right here in Los Angeles to create a fully custom branded box for your boots.
Designed with durability in mind, this box is built to last and can be reused when it's time to send your boots back for our Re-crafting service.

Are these motorcycle boots?
These are boots for everyday-use from skipping, jumping, to riding, and driving.
How do I take care of the Clubman Chelsea?
We recommend keeping it simple and natural. Use an all-natural leather cleaner or conditioner, and make a horsehair brush your best friend; it’ll keep these boots (and any others you own) looking great. For the tan roughout, use a suede cleaning brush to lift dirt and restore the nap.
For the black Chromexcel, a quick wipedown every so often will do the trick. These boots are made to be lived in, don’t baby them.
Just wear them hard, enjoy the patina, and remember one thing above all else: when you think you're done brushing, brush again.

We stand behind every pair of boots we make. If your ButterScotch Boots ever show issues due to craftsmanship or materials, we'll make it right. It's a straightforward promise built on pride in our work and respect for the people who wear it.
