Schott N.Y.C - 519 Perfecto

The Schott 519 One Star Perfecto was one of my first ever Schott Leathers and its still in my rotation today. Im excited to finally have the 519 home and in the ButterScotch offering. The 519 is a go anywhere and do pretty much anything leather. The waxy roughly 3oz leather needs little to no break-in and has a beautiful pebbled texture. The 519 is an easy wearing leather without having to over think it. 

The 519 is made from hand cut panels of full aniline, mid-weight cowhide with a soft, buttery feel that will last for years without the need for treatments or conditioners. More suited to fashion than riding, this 26” long jacket is a bold, retro version of its older brother, the Perfecto® 613. It has the same elements like the asymmetrical front zipper and snap down lapels and collar but offers a slimmer fit and a tighter cut in the arms. The large back panel design, a signature of Schott's uncompromising Perfecto® quality, makes it incredibly easy to move in this jacket, while the 3-oz quilted insulation keeps you comfortable and warm. But don't worry the jacket is not bulky or cumbersome to move in thanks to the quilting being low fill and smaller diamond stitched. 

Layer it up or go full 50"s greaser with a white Tee, the 519 really is one of the most classic and versatile leathers you can have in your closet.

LEATHER

Medium weight top grain naked, pebbled cowhide is a testament to timeless elegance and rustic charm. Each open pore hide is drum dyed, culminating in a matte finish that speaks to those with an appreciation for understated luxury. The leather undergoes a special tumbling process, enhancing its texture to reveal a pebbled natural grain. This softens the leather without diluting the strength.

WAIST BELT

The 519 comes with the waist belt from the Schott Factory, Tommy cut the waist belt off his personal jacket to avoid it from hitting the gas tank while riding.

You can choose to have yours removed if you wish as a custom option.

Please note a small piece the belt will be at the seam for a DIY look. (see photos in the gallery section)

SIZING

The 519 Runs true to size with a little room even though it's considered a slim fit. Tommy 6' / 190lbs / 41" Chest wears a Medium and can layer.
