We introduce our first ever lifestyle asymmetrical leather that is fully armor accepting. Say bye bye to those bulky looking riding jackets that look like something straight out of a video game. No more needing of multiple leathers one for day to day and one for riding when you can have a one and done leather that will never go out of style.
After years of hearing customers looking for a classic style leather that can be armor accepting we decided to build it. The Thruxton Jacket is as classic as classic gets when it comes to an asymmetrical zip closure leather.
The Thruxton Jacket accepts D3o Level 1 Ghost Armor at shoulder and elbow which are roughly 5mm in thickness and a D3o level 1 Viper back protector internally for a jacket that can be fully armored without the big bulky pads or visual armor outlines from the exterior. Thanks to the D3o Ghost armor and slime profile of the Thruxton Jacket you can Wear this jacket out casually fully armored and no-one would be the wiser.
Not a rider? No problem! The Thruxton jacket was designed to be a lifestyle jacket that CAN BE armored up if so desired. You have the option of purchasing this jacket with our without armor and thanks to years of development with Vanson we created a jacket that bridges the gap between lifestyle and rider. Everyone loves a clean simple 50's inspired leather jacket, and now with some creativity we created a modern fitting jacket for all of those out there who love quality and are looking for a leather that is as in style now as it will be in 30 years from now or was in style 60 years ago.
Design features are as follows: We selected Vanson's z150 leather on the Thruxton Jacket for a medium stiffness that requires little to no break-in, it stays black and features a top coat of waxing on the leather to ensure protection and longevity. Internally you have a quilted satin body and satin lined sleeve for easy wear. One left leather lined well pocket, and wears right flask pocket. At the bottom of the hem you will find a hidden zipper to access the pocket system designed to hold all D3o Armor. Lastly internally you will find a cobranded ButterScotch x Vanson Back neck label signifying this shop exclusive design.
On the outer of the jacket you will find the signature 2-way nickel zipper, 2 hand warmer pockets, upper left slant pocket and flap closure coin pocket. additionally you will find a left sleeve map pocket. Another classic design element we modified on the Thruxton jacket is the optional waist belt. Looking at archive images of classic style leathers they almost always had a belt. We decided to put a removable belt the requires no cutting or alterations to the jacket or structure. The belt can be removed and or added if desired.
A curved hem gives your coverage front and back while on the rear of this jacket you have a half action back with gusset sleeves for added movement and comfort all around. Sleeves feature a finish stitch at the wrist and has a fully attached zipper gusset.
